Foundation Studies

The Foundation Studies courses at Bishop Burton College ensure students are equipped with practical and life skills to help them into work when they complete their studies. Students can also choose to specialise in a particular area.

Work experience placements help students adapt to the world of work when they eventually leave education.

Courses are designed to help students flourish in a safe, supportive environment where they will recieve all the help they need to fulfil their potential.

Foundation Studies Overview

If you’d benefit from a supported learning environment, then our Foundation department is suited to you with our courses a mix of practical, employability and functional skills focusing on plants or animals.

We place a strong focus on embedding functional skills within our vocational programmes and students study within a safe, supportive land-based environment, thus ensuring confidence and skills are developed.
