Get paid to work in a horticulture setting while learning all the skills you’ll need to get ahead in the industry with one of our apprenticeships.

Horticulture careers come in all different guises – from golf greenkeeping, to landscaping, through to managing turf at sports venues and beyond. Whatever kind of horticulture career you’ve been working towards, we can help you get there with our apprenticeships – and you’ll earn while you study.

Our tutors help develop students' practical skills with the aid of the college's outstanding facilities, which include a Victorian walled garden, glasshouses, a conservatory for tropical plants, potting sheds, plant nursery, arboretum, woodland areas and playing fields.

A great selection of Horticulture apprenticeships

If you want to work on golf courses in the future, our Golf Greenkeeper courses will show you how to prepare golf courses for play, including removing morning dew, raking bunkers, moving tree markers, and cutting new holes on greens. While the Level 3 Advanced course will give you the necessary skills to supervise the greenkeeping team and maintain a golf course.

On our Level 2 Sports Turf Operative Apprenticeship, you’ll learn how to identify and use the correct materials, tools and equipment for grounds keeping.
