Gardening WorkshopThursday 5th May 6pm - 7pm Get involved with National Gardening Week by joining Bishop Burton's Head Gardener in our Victorian Walled Garden for a special workshop. National Gardening Week is the UK’s largest celebration of gardening, aimed at raising awareness of the numerous benefits gardens and gardening bring to the people of the UK. Join us in our fabulous walled garden to learn more about taking cuttings, plant propagation and how to plant up a beautiful colourful hanging basket. The workshop is open to people of everyone, though children must be accompanied by an adult. Why not come along as a family? Places are free but they are limited and must be pre-booked. There's a Hedgehog in my Garden: Hedgehog Care SeminarThursday 5th May 7pm - 8pm As part of Hedgehog Awareness Week, join University Centre Bishop Burton for a special seminar to learn more about how you can help. The latest report by the People's Trust for Endangered Species states that urban hedgehog populations are stable and may even be recovering thanks to community action. Come and be part of that community! The University Centre Bishop Burton team will help you learn how to make your garden wildlife-friendly and what to do if you find a hedgehog in your garden. This seminar is suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Whilst places are free, spaces are limited and must be pre-booked. |
