Campus and Facilities

Bishop Burton College and University Centre in East Yorkshire offers an extensive campus with specialist facilities for academic study, practical training, community services and events. Our campus features commercial farming units, animal management centres, equine training and competition arenas, sports and fitness facilities, dog grooming and boarding kennels, accommodation and modern study spaces, supporting students and local residents alike.

Our campus includes specialist facilities such as the Animal Management Centre and equine centres, which are primarily used for teaching, training and scheduled events.

Over the last 65 years, investments in facilities and resources has seen the learning environment at Bishop Burton go from strength to strength. Our facilities include:

  • Commercial Farm – used for agricultural education, training and industry activity
  • Centre for Precision Agriculture – part of the Yorkshire and Humber Institute of Technology, supporting advanced agricultural technology and applied learning
  • Equine Centres – providing facilities for equine education, training, competitions and scheduled events
  • Animal Management Centre – supporting animal care, welfare and practical learning
  • Construction Facilities - workshops and teaching spaces supporting construction and built environment training
  • Sports and Fitness Facilities – supporting teaching and training, with gym facilities available through membership and sports halls and pitches available for public hire
  • Dedicated Health Suite – featuring hospital beds, nursing mannequins and specialist equipment for health and care training
  • Childcare Centre of Excellence – a specialist nursery-style environment supporting childcare and early years education and training
  • Centre for Creative Studies – home to professional kitchens, floristry studios and design spaces supporting creative and vocational learning
  • Specialist Laboratories – equipped teaching spaces supporting science, engineering and technical learning
  • Learning Resource Centres and Study Spaces – supporting academic study and independent learning
  • STEM Centre – supporting science, technology, engineering and maths education, with resources including virtual simulators and precision farming technology

On-campus accommodation is available for both College and University Centre students, supporting those studying at Bishop Burton College from across the UK.
