Health and Social Care Courses Available

Level 1 Introduction to Health, Social Care and Childcare

Explore the different roles and services within health, social care and early years. This one-year course introduces communication, safeguarding, equality and person-centred support, helping you prepare for further learning.

Level 2 Health and Social Care

Develop your understanding of care values, individual rights, safe environments and healthy living. This one-year course combines theory and practical learning with work experience, providing a foundation for progression to Level 3.

Level 3 Health and Social Care

Build your knowledge of human development, anatomy and physiology, mental wellbeing and individual care needs. Over two years, you’ll explore how care services support people and apply your learning through work placements.

T Level in Health (Supporting Adult Nursing)

Combine scientific and healthcare knowledge with practical learning and an industry placement. This two-year Level 3 qualification includes person-centred care, infection prevention, safeguarding and supporting the adult nursing team.

Oliver McGowan Training

Bishop Burton provides Tier 2 Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism to Health and Social Care students.

This training helps you develop your understanding of the people you may support as you prepare for work in the sector.

Work Experience and Industry Placements

Put your learning into practice and discover how care teams work together.

Our courses include:

  • Level 2 Health and Social Care: 40 hours of work experience
  • Level 3 Health and Social Care: 100 hours of work experience
  • T Level Health: 315 hours of industry placement over two years
