We have a range of courses designed to give you the skills you’ll need for a rewarding career in Health and Social Care.

Bishop Burton College’s Health and Social Care courses prepare you to progress to study at degree level or go straight into work.

You'll study your Level 1, 2, 3 or T Level qualification in Health and Social Care in our dedicated health suite, complete with hospital beds and CPR dolls.

Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Provider

Bishop burton provides Tier 2 Oliver McGowan mandatory training for learning disability and autism to our Health and Social Care students. This training is now mandatory for all staff employed within a Health and Social Care setting.

We are proud to be the only Further Education College in Yorkshire and the North East that provides OMMT, supporting the rollout of the programme and preparing our students with the skills and knowledge required for industry.

Gain industry knowledge

Your learning will be enhanced by a range of guest speakers and from interesting study trips. Previous trips have included the University of Hull’s School of Medicine, the Thackeray Museum in Leeds, the Health Fair, Filey Beach (occupational therapy) and York Christmas Market.

Our team has excellent links with over 100 different placement providers, giving you access to important work experience in hospitals, nursing homes, residential care homes, GP surgeries, day centres, hospices and other settings.
