James Smith

Lecturer in Agriculture

"I studied Agriculture and Rural Studies at degree level, before running my own mixed arable and beef farm, which has been a brilliant opportunity to apply training, and has demonstrated how important high-quality agriculture courses are to succeeding in industry.

“It’s great seeing students come from across the UK to take advantage of the great courses and facilities we have on offer here. My favourite part? Our working commercial farm. It’s expanding and developing constantly, and really is an amazing resource for helping to illustrate farming techniques to our learners."
