Welding for Beginners

The Course
Designed to give beginners a practical instruction on Health and Safety, processes and equipment in Welding. The aim of this course is to help you obtain a basic level of competence.
This course can be delivered at the college or on your own site, using your own equipment ensuring your employees are trained in the environment they are most familiar with and at a time that best suits you.
Regrettably, we are not able to run this course at present. We will update course details in the autumn.

What You Study
This six week course is practically based and covers the following:
- Health and Safety when welding
- welding processes and materials
- setting up of equipment and preparing to weld
- Manual Metal Arc welding (MMA) and Metal Inert Gas welding (MIG)
You will learn through practical based activities and tasks which are delivered by qualified trainers in a specialist environment.
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance.
