The Course

This short course provides an opportunity to develop existing photography skills by experimenting with more complex photography techniques.

  • What you study

    You will maximise the potential of our beautiful college campus to improve photography knowledge, take better quality images and develop creative skills whilst completing specific photographic tasks. Learners will be introduced to the theory and technicalities of producing experimental images, lighting techniques and adding fun elements to your pictures. Sessions will include:

    • Introduction to experimental photography techniques
    • Introduction to complex camera theory and techniques
    • Introduction to photography lighting techniques
  • Entry Requirements

    For this course it would be useful to have some existing camera knowledge or have completed our Introduction to Photography short course. You will need to bring along your own digital camera and smart phone.

    6 weeks (Delivered on a Saturday 13:00 - 16:00)

    Start date: Saturday 19th March 2022

    End date: Saturday 14th May 2022

  • Progression

    There will be opportunities to further develop skills via progression on to further follow-on short course, focused photography workshop days and seminars. You might also consider progressing on to the FdA Design or the HNC 3D Design programme.
