Our courses are led by experienced tutors, with expertise in many different areas of conservation.

The College is also set in historic parkland and woodland and its location provides access to the Yorkshire Wolds, Moors and the Dales with nearby rivers, estuaries, salt marshes and the coastline. There is no better place to learn environmental studies.

Countryside and Environmental Studies

Career options are diverse, from sustainability officers, landscape conservation contractors, environmental consultants, conservation officers, gamekeepers, park rangers and may work for organisations such as Natural England, the National Trust, Wildlife Trusts, RSPB and the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group.

Our courses include a huge range of practical skills development, based both on the college site and the surrounding Yorkshire countryside. We’re also fortunate to have excellent access to the Yorkshire Wolds, Moors and the Dales with the estuaries, coastline and salt marshes nearby.
