Current Students
Whether you're progressing on to another course / year of study with us, or starting a new adventure, we'll make sure you're ready with guidance and activities to help you.
We're working hard at the moment to make sure these are easily accessible from home, so please bear with us. Your tutors will be able to let you know once they're ready, but rest assured we'll help you to keep going with your learning during the next half term and into summer.

New Students
Starting college is a big step in all young people’s lives and we want to make the next stage in your future as easy and as smooth as possible, whether you're coming to us straight from leaving school or after a break in education. That’s why we've developed our Stepping Forward transition to college support programme.
This page has been populated with a range of subject specific activities designed to help you get a start in 'stepping forward' with your learning and knowledge ready for the start of your college life. All you need to do is print out the PDF file, write down your answers and bring this with you when you come for your induction. We can't wait to see how you got on.
We've also recommended some additional activities to have a go at once you've completed your subject tasks. These are around the topics of staying safe online, radicalisation and extremism and British Values.
If you're not sure what to expect when you start with us then this will be a good opportunity to get a little taste for the kind of thing you could be studying at Riseholme.

As part of your transition to Bishop Burton College, we want to support you not just academically but also support you to remain safe in a range of situations and contexts. As part of this work, you may wish to complete 1 or all of the four learning packages available here.
The learning packages will support you to better understand subjects like staying safe online, radicalisation and extremism and British Values. Each of these are topics you will hear about and discuss alongside you primary learning goal when you're at Bishop Burton.
For each learning package successfully completed you will receive a printable certificate which you can use to supplement your CV moving forward.
