Are you looking to start your own dog walking business? This course will give you the practical skills and knowledge that are important for working as a dog walker.

Course Information

  • To provide you with the practical skills and knowledge required to support you in starting your own dog walking business.
  • Roles and responsibilities of a professional dog walker
  • Carrying out behaviour assessments
  • Practical walking and controlling of dogs
  • Understanding problems, injuries and emergencies that may be sustained to the dog or dog walker

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

The course includes a mixture of practical and theoretical sessions.

This two-day course usually runs over two weekdays, with sessions on campus from 9am - 4.30pm each day.

You will complete a theory booklet and take part in practical assessments.
  • Sturdy shoes or boots
You may also wish to undertake the Level 2 in Pet Sitting.
This course will give you a qualification to start a career as a professional dog walker.
This course costs £300 per person. A £50 deposit is required at the time of booking.
