Take your first step towards a career within Construction with this Level 1 course. A vocational qualification, the course gives you the opportunity to develop practical skills, knowledge and understanding of the construction industry.
Learning in our dedicated Construction workshops, with specialist areas for bricklaying and plastering, you will gain a good introduction to a trade, enabling you to progress to study at a higher level and ultimately to work within the construction sector.

You will need a full Entry Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, as well as 3 GCSEs at grades 1-2, including Maths and English. A passion for the subject and one satisfactory reference are also required.
The majority of the modules are practical based and are delivered in the construction workshop. There are some theory units in this course, which will be delivered in a classroom.
You will usually be on campus three days per week. You will also undertake work experience.
