Are you looking to launch your career as a bricklayer? This apprenticeship could be perfect for you.

There is high demand within the construction industry. As an apprentice you will have a job and earn a wage whilst building up knowledge and skills within the construction industry, specifically in brickwork.

The range of sites and projects that bricklayers work on include large commercial developments, new builds in housing, alterations, extensions and restorations.

You must have GCSE English and Maths at grade E/3 or equivalent. You must also pass an initial assessment, secure work as an apprentice and have one satisfactory reference.

You will learn through a range of practical and theory based lessons.

You will be released from work one day per week to indertake training at the college.

You will be employed within the industry, working 30 - 40 hours per week.
You will be assessed through an end point assessment (EPA) and graded pass or distinction. Please note that the duration does not include the EPA.

  • An electronic device such as a laptop to access online learning
  • Steel toe-capped boots
  • High-visibility vest
  • Hard hat
More advanced courses are available at the college.
Work as a bricklayer on major new housing and business developments, for established companies or on a self-employed basis.
