Course Information
- Develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours for employment and future career progression within the construction industry.
- Health, safety and welfare regulations
- Safe systems of work
- Environmental management systems and standards
- Principles of building construction
- Modern methods of construction
- Interpreting information, drawings and specifications
- Craft brickwork techniques
- Axed arches and surrounding haunch work
- Curved, sloped and decorative brickwork
- Masonry reinforcement

- Inclusion, equality and diversity and well-being
GCSE at grade 4/C in English and maths are preferred. You must also pass an initial assessment, secure work as an apprentice and have one satisfactory reference.
You will learn through a range of practical and theory based lessons.
You will be released from work one day per week to undertake training at the college.
