Industry Placements and Work Experience

Share your expertise with the workforce of the future.

Specialist, technical education is at the heart of Bishop Burton College. As part of this, experience is integral to helping our students develop the skills they will need for successful careers.

Our students develop hands-on experience with employers through either industry placements or work experience.

Typically, work experience is short-term, lasting for a few days or weeks. Meanwhile, industry placements are longer-term. Often students will attend placement one day per week throughout the academic year.

Industry placements are integral to certain courses, for instance, T Levels usually require a minimum of 315 hours of experience.
