Developing on our popular 'Lambing Sunday' event, we hosted Spring Live for the first time in 2022, with more than 4000 guests attending.
The event provides a unique experience for people not from a farming background. Visitors can see the birth of new lambs and explore the wider campus. From showjumping and horse petting, to farm machinery displays, pig unit tours and animal handling in the animal management unit, families are able to experience all aspects of life at Bishop Burton College.

We enjoy celebrating the success of our students’ academic achievements in a variety of ways. Formal balls, student parties, our annual sports awards and prestigious graduation and presentation days provide unique access to students, guests and VIPs alike.
With events both on and off campus, including at venues such as the stunning Beverley Minster, these are wonderful occasions to acknowledge the individual and group successes of our students.

Our annual Stock Skills competition is the oldest college-run competition in the country.
The event is a stalwart of agriculture studies at Bishop Burton and for the 100+ students that take part annually, it’s always a memorable occasion.
The competition is designed to show students exactly what is involved in getting an animal ready for show, whether they are from a livestock, arable or non-farming background.
Attracting friends and family of those competing, along with a range of dignitaries from the local farming community, it’s an event steeped in history and tradition.

Bishop Burton Equine Centre is one of the busiest in the north of England. It hosts hundreds of local, national and international competitions each year, attracting thousands of competitors, spectators and VIPs.
As well as regular British Showjumping and British Dressage, other prestigious events include:
- British Eventing Horse Trials at Bishop Burton in May and September/October
- Lincolnshire Horse Trials at Lincolnshire Showground in March
- British Dressage Northern Winter Regionals
