Facilities on site

Over the last 65 years, investments in facilities and resources has seen the learning environment at Bishop Burton go from strength to strength. The facilities on-site include:

  • Fully operational farm with 890 acres, split between arable and grassland, units for pigs, beef and sheep, plus a fleet of the latest machinery
  • The Centre for Agricultural Innovation (CAI), in partnership with NFU Mutual, which focuses on agricultural research and development
  • Specialist Animal Management unit with over 1,000 animals
  • State-of-the-art construction and engineering workshops
  • Centre for Sport and Fitness, including 3G and grass pitches, sports halls, sports therapy / physiotherapy, gym and dance studio
  • Outstanding Equine Centre, with a variety of equine arenas, therapy and rehabilitation centre, stabling, rider fitness and performance suite
  • Learning Resource Centre (LRC) with modern study spaces, newspaper and journal subscriptions, light fiction to help students unwind and much more
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Centre, with resources including virtual simulators and precision farming technology.

We also have accommodation on site for both College and University Centre students, so wherever you’re from studying at Bishop Burton is easy.

Ongoing development works include work on the college's farm and Institute of Technology, ensuring that the Bishop Burton campus offers our students the facilities and tools that they need to succeed.
