There is nowhere quite like University Centre Bishop Burton.
It's all about you at UCBB
By studying a higher education programme at University Centre Bishop Burton (UCBB) you are embarking on an exciting new chapter in your life, whether you are joining us for the first time, or progressing from a further education course at Bishop Burton College
We combine the expert tutelage and outstanding resources you would expect at a major city university with a more personal approach than you will find elsewhere.
Our students benefit from working in fantastic facilities within a beautiful rural setting but one of our key strengths is the individual support we are able to provide to guide you through.
Smaller group sizes mean our tutors – many of whom have worked in industry – are able to provide one-to-one support that you won’t get elsewhere. They will help you not only through your studies, but also into the exciting career you are aiming for at the end of your programme.
Degree students also have their own dedicated spaces throughout the sprawling Bishop Burton estate as we appreciate that studying at university-level is a major life experience.
You will be given the opportunity to shape UCBB's social offer through our Student Association, by joining up and having your say, and get involved in a range of fun activities.
Life as a degree student at UCBB will be different from anything you have experienced.
Ensuring our students have a high-quality experience is at the heart of what we do. That's why University Centre Bishop Burton was awarded the QAA Quality Mark following its last inspection in 2014. We were also assessed as part of QAA's Quality and Standards Review in October 2019.
QAA found that UCBB:
Meets UK standards for the quality of student learning opportunities.
Supports all students to achieve successful academic and professional outcomes.
Actively engages students, individually and collectively, in the quality of their educational experience.
Demonstrated good practice for the strong partnerships at course level between the higher education team, students and teaching staff.
Utilises industry and employer contacts to contribute to the development, delivery and enhancement of the curricula.
