Students build up their skills by working on the historic parkland as part of our practical courses, which are enhanced by highly relevant work experience placements and lectures by experts in their field.

Our courses cover a wide variety of environmental and conservation topics, from habitat management to surveying skills.

Students look into methods to tackle the threats the natural world and biodiversity face at a time when it has never been more crucial and they really appreciate the amount of time they spend working outside.

Our Environmental Studies and Conservation Courses

Alex studies BTEC Level 3 in Countryside Management and has found the content of the course fascinating.

I wanted to do something that was outdoors and a bit more physical. I’ve never wanted to do a job where you are inside all the time.
