Hundreds of events take place on campus each academic year, meaning there is never a dull moment.

Lots of these are shaped by the Student Association – so the best way to get involved is to join up and have your say.

There are also numerous eating establishments on site. So whether you want a full meal, a snack or just a coffee with some friends, there are plenty of options to chill out.

Staying Fit

Sport is a major part of life as a Bishop Burton student. Whether competing at elite-level, to maintain a level of fitness or just for a bit of fun, we know that sport can bring people together and create lasting memories.

Participating in sport is great for the mind and body. As well as a gym on campus with discounted student membership available, we have a range of teams for students that are not a part of our academy programmes, which include:

  • Football
  • Netball
  • Rugby union
  • Rugby league
  • Hockey
  • Pentathlon
  • LDD / Pan ability football
  • Basketball
  • Badminton
  • Esports

We offer numerous one-to-one activity classes, such as boxing, as well as group classes like yoga, which are fundamental in supporting students and their well-being.

In addition, Bishop Burton's Sport and Animal Management teams have teamed up to offer Pet Therapy. Our students are able to achieve an hour's recommended physical activity as a result, such as dog walking.
