Bishop Burton College is the perfect place to launch a career in agriculture.

We have a range of courses at different levels which all include practical duties and work experience placements, meaning students develop the necessary skills to go straight into the industry in a variety of roles.

Our students work on the College's own 360-hectare farm, which is split between arable and grassland for livestock including sheep, dairy and beef, as part of their preparation for a farming career. They also take part in national competitions, such as Cereals Challenge and Farm Planner of the Year, the College's own Stockmanship show and major public events such as Lambing Sunday and Open Farm Sunday.

Agriculture students also use the latest technology in their studies, including tractor and combine simulators and drones to evaluate crop growth management, among other things.
