Agriculture :: Bishop Burton College

Agriculture

Bishop Burton is a specialist agricultural college, with unrivalled expertise, facilities and industry links.

Our students develop practical skills on the college's 360-hectare farm, which is split between arable and grassland for livestock including sheep, dairy and beef. We also have a Freedom Food-accredited high-quality pig unit, which is currently under development to make even more improvements and our students compete in national competitions.

They also benefit from working with the latest innovative technology, including tractor and combine harvester simulators and drones to monitor crop development, and work on real research projects to tackle issues facing the industry with our dedicated Centre for Agricultural Innovation (CAI), in partnership with NFU Mutual.
