Degree Programmes

Here at Bishop Burton College University Centre, we offer degree programmes in the following subject areas:

Levels of Study

We offer higher education programmes at different levels of study, so that you can find the perfect one for you.

Higher National Certificate (HNC)

One-year, full-time equivalent to the first year of a Bachelor’s Degree. A HNC can also lead to a Higher National Diploma (HND) or the second year of a Foundation Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.

Foundation Degrees

These two-year, full-time courses can lead to a BA or BSc degree, with an additional ‘top up’ year of study.

Bachelor’s Degrees

Available as Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Arts (BA), these three-year, full-time degree programmes are of equal status.

Master’s Degrees

This is the highest level of study offered by the college and requires students to have previously completed a BSc or BA.
