Potential new Countryside Ranger Apprenticeship
Do you have a passion for the countryside, the natural environment and working and engaging with the community? The brand-new Level 4 Countryside Ranger Apprenticeship could be for you!
You will already have experience of working in a natural environment with minimum supervision and part of a broader team. In your role you will be responsible for the daily management, maintenance, conservation and protection of the natural environment and inspire people about the natural environment, encouraging them to engage with their local green space.
You may interact with a range of organisations such as local AONB's and National Park Authorities, statutory bodies like Natural England, Historic England, local town and parish councils, community groups and members of the public.
Skills you will gain during this apprenticeship include planning and organisation, project management, allocating resources, staff and volunteers for day-to-day management of countryside sites, construction and maintenance of boundaries, habitat surveys and engaging with the public through educational visits and social media.
Upon completion of the course typical roles which you could go into include Community or Countryside Ranger, Reserve or Countryside Warden, Park or Estate Ranger. You will also be eligible for registration at ‘capable level’ with Countryside Management Association and / or Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.
There will be three start dates including September 2021, January 2022 and April 2022 (post Easter).
If this sounds like something you want to find out more about and you enjoy a challenge and working outdoors in all weathers, we would like to hear from you!
