Josh Wright, Farm Manager at Bishop Burton College, said: “We’re proud to meet the Red Tractor standards again.
“This accreditation is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our team and students.
“Supporting British agriculture has never been more important, and buying Red Tractor-assured produce means choosing food that’s safe, sustainable, and produced to rigorous, independently verified standards – right here in the UK.”
As well as producing food to industry-leading standards, the college’s farm is a hub of innovation and learning. From livestock and crop production to cutting-edge precision farming, students gain hands-on experience in all aspects of modern agriculture.
Bishop Burton recently announced a new addition to the farm – a herd of Aberdeen Angus Cross cattle.
The introduction of these animals – which will replace the college’s existing Stabiliser herd – will give students more day-to-day responsibility and enrich their practical training.
This development is part of the college’s mission to equip the next generation with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in a fast-evolving industry.
Celebrating its 70th anniversary this academic year, Bishop Burton College continues to set the standard in agricultural education – combining real-world farming with academic excellence to help shape the future of British agriculture.
