The annual Equine Performance Conference will take place at Bishop Burton College on the 16 July – 17 July 2022.

Join us as we follow the theme ‘Spotlight on Injury and Rehabilitation’, encompassing a range of plenary lectures and practical demonstrations from industry experts and researchers from a variety of fields.

About the Conference

Lectures

Based on the theme ‘Spotlight on Injury and Rehabilitation’, the Equine Performance Conference will include a range of lectures and practical demonstrations from industry experts and researchers from a variety of fields.

The Saturday will focus on the injury risk for horse and rider, with an applied afternoon exploring diagnosis and assessment of the horse by members within the equine multi-disciplinary team. 

The Sunday will explore current treatments before progressing to rehabilitation strategies, the practical afternoon sessions will include demonstrations of use of the equicore training aid, exercise on the water treadmill and of ridden horse exercises. 

A full list of invited speakers will be released shortly. The lectures will take place in the comfort of the Howard Petch Conference Hall, with refreshments served at each break in the adjacent Seminar Lounge.

Tickets will be available soon and prices will be inclusive of lunches on both days and refreshments at all breaks.

Research Presentations

In addition to invited speakers, the conference will feature a number of research presentations to provide an update on the recent advances in the area of equine performance.

Abstracts are invited for researchers wishing to deliver either a 15-minute oral presentation or an academic poster presentation. The conference aims to provide a welcoming environment and abstracts from good quality undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations are encouraged. Abstract submission details will be available here soon. 

 

CPD Approved

Each day of the conference counts for 7.5 hours of CPD and certificates of attendance will be provided.
