The Turing Scheme is the UK government's programme to provide funding for international opportunities in education and training across the world.

It supports Global Britain by providing an opportunity for UK organisations, including Further Education, to offer their students life changing experiences to study or work abroad.

As part of the College's successful bid to fund 45 work experience placements around the world, 10 of the College's elite Sport students will be travelling to Sydney - Australia on Friday 19 March for 2 weeks to undertake a range of different work experience placements within the sports industry, alongside a wide variety of different cultural and sporting activities.

The fully funded placements will enable students to develop key industry skills in preparation for their next steps upon completion of their academic courses. Work placements vary from Sports Coaching, Education and Sports Analysis with industry specialists in the Sydney area.

Matt Lucid, Curriculum Area Manager for Sport has said,

"This is undoubtedly a once in a lifetime opportunity for each one of our highly deserving and committed students. Each fully deserves this opportunity and I have full confidence that this will be the springboard to support each of them into their chosen areas of progression whilst developing the skills and knowledge to support with their next steps."
