Bishop Burton College is delighted to be hosting this prestigious, exciting Championships in 2022, showcasing the talent of the very best youth athletes from across the UK at BE90, BE100 and CCI-L YR2* level.

The College has significantly invested in the facilities available to our equine disciplines, most recently out on the cross country course where Course Designer Joe Weller makes the best use of the magnificent undulating parkland; truly ensuring an exhilarating, enjoyable and exciting Championships. This team and individual competition is kindly supported by a team of fabulous sponsors, volunteers and College staff and students – we just could not put on such an event without their support, so a huge thank you to everyone involved!

*Wednesday Horse Inspection will take place in number order. Sunday Horse Inspection will take place in reverse placed order.

Stabling and Hook up

Stabling will be provided in permanent or temporary stables.

It will be allocated in regions where possible and will be allocated by the Organiser. Temporary Stables are large in size and are secure for the largest of horses; they are the LH Woodhouse Temporary Stables.(QuickStables).

Shavings & Haylage
Stable bookings will be provided a bale of shavings on arrival - kindly supported by one of our sponsors Bedmax. Additional bales can be purchased at the event. Shavings £9.50 per bale. 

Small bale haylage is available and can be purchased at the event. Please note - we encourage all competitors where possible to bring their own forage. 

Hook up
Hook up will be available on a first booked basis.

£100 + VAT (£120 total) for the duration of the competition (Wednesday - Saturday nights).

IMPORTANT - 1 connection only, 10 amp supply. 
Please note – this is a limited supply only and will not serve all outlets in your vehicle.
No Splitters / sharing of connection - this will be monitored and connection removed where breeched (without refund). Connection will be refused if deemed dangerous by Electrician.

EARLY ARRIVALS - are welcome from Tuesday 2 August. Please book your stabling from either Tuesday or Wednesday. If you want to ammend your arrival day, please e-mail us

ALL COMPETIORS are required to ensure you complete the FEI Equine Health Self-Certification Form. Those competing in the CCI2* classes will do this online INSTRUCTIONS HERE - BE90 & BE100 compeitors are requested to complete the form (above) and bring with you to the Vet Check In.

We have two Science Lab Experiences - Firstly, the dissection of a horse leg, and examine the structures that makes the horse a highly specialised athlete. A perfect opportunity to learn about the biomechanics of our equestrian partners and discuss some common pathologies with an industry expert. Secondly, the equine nutrition seminar, in the labs, where our nutrition expert will explain the fundamentals of feeding and how you can adjust this for the individual horse to maximise health, welfare and performance. 

Animal Management Tours - for those with an interest in smaller or more exotic animals, come along to one of the College Animal Management Tours to get a glimpse of some of the wonderful creatures we have here at Bishop Burton College! 

Equine Therapy Centre - check out our state of the art Equine Therapy Kit with a demonstration of the Water Treadmill with our highly experienced staff. 

Laser Shoot - Have you ever fancied a go at the modern pentathlon? The fencing, swimming, show jumping, pistol shooting and cross country running. Bishop Burton is an official academy of Pentathlon GB and home of Yorkshire Pentathlon – why not have a trial session of the laser shoot with our very own trainers?
