Welcome to the Bishop Burton International Youth Championships 2021.

Bishop Burton College is delighted to be hosting this prestigious, exciting Championships for the first time in 2021, showcasing the talent of the very best youth athletes from across the UK at BE90, BE100 and CCI-L YR2* level.

The College has significantly invested in the facilities available to our equine disciplines, most recently out on the cross country course where Course Designer Joe Weller makes the best use of the magnificent undulating parkland; truly ensuring an exhilarating, enjoyable and exciting Championships. This team and individual competition is kindly supported by a team of fabulous sponsors, volunteers and College staff and students – we just could not put on such an event without their support, so a huge thank you to everyone involved!

*Wednesday Horse Inspection will take place in number order. Sunday Horse Inspection will take place in reverse placed order.

Stabling and Hook up

Stabling
Stabling will be provided in permanent or temporary stables.

It will be allocated in regions where possible and will be allocated by the Organiser. Temporary Stables are large in size and are secure for the largest of horses; they are the LH Woodhouse Barn Stables.

Shavings & Haylage
Stable bookings will be provided with 2 bales of shavings on arrival - kindly supported by one of our sponsors Bedmax. Additional bales can be purchased at the event. Shavings £9 per bale. 

Small bale haylage is available and can be purchased at the event. Please note - we encourage all competitors where possible to bring their own forage. 

Hook up
Hook up will be available on a first booked basis.

£100 + VAT (£120 total) for the duration of the competition (Wednesday - Saturday nights).

IMPORTANT - 1 connection only, 10 amp supply. 
Please note – this is a limited supply only and will not serve all outlets in your vehicle.
No Splitters / sharing of connection - this will be monitored and connection removed where breeched (without refund). Connection will be refused if deemed dangerous by Electrician.

4-6pm – Animal Management Tour 

Join our Animal Management unit to get a glimpse of some of the wonderful creatures we have here at Bishop Burton College.  30-minute tours, booking is essential click here to book.

7pm – Science Labs Experience

For all those future scientists out there, join in with the Dissection of a whole Horse Leg – See what the leg and foot of the horse really look like from the inside and how everything works. A perfect opportunity to learn about the mechanics of our equestrian athlete with an industry expert. Booking is essential click here to book.

8pm - Equine Water Treadmill Demonstration 

Head to our Equine Therapy Centre within the Bishop Burton Arena to check out our state of the art Equine Therapy Kit with a demonstration of the Water Treadmill with our highly experienced staff. 30 minute sessions. Booking is essential click here to book.

 

8pm - late Bishops Got Talent! 

Open Microphone Night – get together in your teams, regions or even go solo! Show off your talent, be it sing, dance, make us laugh or something unique! Located in the Conference Hall, next to the Digby Watt Café Bar, the ideal place for the whole family to chill out or have a ball!

2pm Laser Shoot

Have you ever fancied a go at the modern pentathlon? The fencing, swimming, show jumping, pistol shooting and cross country running. Bishop Burton is an official academy of Pentathlon GB and home of Yorkshire Pentathlon – why not have a trial session of the laser shoot with our very own trainers? 6-7pm - Yoga

Build up strength, stretch your muscles, increase your flexibility and range of motion. Learn to balance your body, realign your stance and posture, release tension and stress. 8pm – Chilled Music Evening

Chill out ahead of Cross Country Day with some chilled vibes and a few quiet drinks. Located at Bishops Bar, the ideal place to gather, enjoy a quiet drink and a natter with friends!

Have some family fun at the end of a busy week, please join us for a final night of fun with quiz and live music in Bishops Bar!

There is a range of event clothing available for purchase, which can all personalised (if you wish).

Please order by Tuesday 6th July if you wish to have the item delivered to you before the event. Orders made after this date will be for collection at the event or delivered after the event. PLEASE NOTE- Orders made after noon on Wednesday 14th July are not guaranteed to arrive in time for the event. Therefore items will be sent to your HOME address possibly after the event.
