2019/20 and 2020/21 Higher Education Graduation Ceremonies
Thursday 28th October - Friday 29th October
We are delighted to invite you to our Graduation Ceremony for the academic years 2019/2020 and 2020/2021.
The Graduation Ceremonies will be held in the historic Beverley Minster on Thursday 28th October 2021 and Friday 29th October 2021.
Thursday 28 October, 2pm
Students who graduated with a University of Hull award or HNC (with the exception of Agriculture) last year (2019/2020) and this year (2020/2021), are invited to join a Ceremony at Beverley Minster on the afternoon of Thursday 28th October. The Ceremony is due to commence at 2.00pm.
Please arrive between 12noon – 1.00pm to register your attendance, to collect your gown and to have any professional photographs taken. Regrettably, anyone arriving after 1pm WILL NOT be presented with their award on the platform. Graduands and guests are to be seated by 1.45pm.
Friday 29 October, 10:30am
Students who graduated with a University of Huddersfield or Royal Agricultural University award or HNC in Agriculture last year (2019/2020) and this year (2020/2021), are invited to join a Ceremony at Beverley Minster on the morning of Friday 29th October. The Ceremony is due to commence at 10.30am.
Please arrive between 9.00am and 10.00am to register your attendance, to collect your gown and have any professional photographs taken. Regrettably, anyone arriving after 10.00am WILL NOT be presented with their award on the platform. Graduands and guests are to be seated by 10.15am.
Gowns and Professionals Photography
The event is a formal occasion and it is customary that academic dress is worn. The College has engaged Wm Northam & Co. Ltd to supply the academic dress for the occasion as well as professional photography. To organise gown hire and photography, please see the below PDF. Please note, institution name is Bishop Burton College within the Wm Northam & Co website.
Guest tickets are limited to two per graduand at a cost of £2.50 per ticket.
Please note that graduating students do not require a ticket for themselves. You will be able to express an interest for additional tickets when making your online booking (details below), although additional tickets may only be obtained if there is a surplus after the deadline for attendance has passed.

Entry to the Graduation Ceremony for guests will be strictly by ticket. Therefore, please ensure you bring your ticket confirmation email as proof of purchase. Tickets will need to be shown at the door.
Please email HEAdmin@bishopburton.ac.uk to confirm or decline of your attendance by Thursday 14th October. Please note that if you do not reply you will not be able to attend for organisational reasons. Please also note that, in line with College policy, any student in debt to the College will not be eligible to attend the Ceremony. If this applies to you, then please ensure that any debts are cleared before 21st October 2021, if you wish to attend.
If you later find you will not be attending for any reason, you may cancel your order for the above by contacting the relevant supplier in writing. This must be at least 10 working days before the ceremony, to guarantee full reimbursement. Please also contact HEAdmin@bishopburton.ac.uk to advise us if you wish to cancel your attendance
Seating Arrangements for Graduands
Seat numbers will be allocated and should be collected from the Registration Desk on the day of the event.
Parking and Special Requirements
Please note that there is no parking at the Minster, however, public car parks (pay and display) are available nearby.
