Livery and Loan
Bishop Burton Equine Centre has 110 stables across three yards.
Stabling solutions include the traditional stone built loose boxes on Main Yard to Beverley Yard’s wooden stables and York Yard’s American Barn system.
Students are able to bring their own horse to College on a DIY basis. This is subject to availability, so book early as demand is great.
LIVERY OWNERS HAVE ACCESS TO THE EQUINE CENTRE'S FACILITES WHEN NOT PRE-BOOKED.
This includes the horse walker, 6km hacking track surrounding Bishop Burton’s farm, indoor and outdoor skills and Equine Therapy and Rehabiliation Centre.
DIY LIVERY PACKAGES INCLUDE ACCESS TO INDIVIDUAL TURN OUT AREAS.
This will be discussed on livery induction and a rota will be in place. If the weather is very wet access may be restricted.
EQUINE VETS ARE PRESENT ON-SITE EVERY THURSDAY.
Any veterinary call outs within this period are not subject to a visit fee. However, any treatment required will be billed directly to the client by the vet.
Horses suitable for working as part of the college teaching sessions may be taken on a working livery basis.
This service allows a student to keep their horse at Bishop Burton College for use by the Equine Centre during the term for all educational and teaching purposes for a maximum of three hours per day. The student is able to ride their own horse when not being used for teaching purposes – this is usually at weekends.
