The Ceremony represents the formal highlight of the College year when we celebrate the graduation of our students.
University Centre Bishop Burton (UCBB) will be celebrating the success of our class of 2022 at their graduation ceremony on Wednesday 26th October 2022 at Beverley Minster.
10am: Registration opens
Please arrive between 10am and 1pm to register your attendance, collect your gown and have any professional photographs taken. Regrettably, anyone arriving after 1pm WILL NOT be presented with their award on the platform.
1.45pm: Graduands and their guests to be seated
2pm: Ceremony begins
Following the ceremony, you're invited to join us for refreshments.
Registration for graduating students is now open! Each graduand will be able to register for two guest tickets. Unfortunately, due to limited space, no additional guest tickets will be available. CLICK HERE to register for your ticket.
When you arrive for registration at the graduation, you will be given wristbands for your guests. No tickets will be sent via post. Guest entry to the ceremony is strictly by wristband only.
Please also note that, in line with College policy, any student in debt to the College will not be eligible to attend the Ceremony. If this applies to you, then please ensure that any debts are cleared before 21st October 2022, if you wish to attend.
Gowns and Professionals Photography
The event is a formal occasion and it is customary that academic dress is worn. The College has engaged Wm Northam & Co. Ltd to supply the academic dress for the occasion as well as professional photography. Search for Bishop Burton College here to organise gown hire and photography.
Seating Arrangements for Graduands
Seat numbers will be allocated and should be collected from the Registration Desk on the day of the event.
Parking and Special Requirements
Please note that there is no parking at the Minster, however, public car parks (pay and display) are available nearby. More information can be found on the Beverley Minster website.
If you have any special requirements, e.g. wheelchair access, please let us know when booking your guest tickets.
Can my baby/toddler/child in arms attend and do they need a ticket?
The ceremony is not recommended for very young children and children who require a seat will need a ticket.

Seating is on a first come first served basis, however, if reserved seating is required for accessibility purposes then please let us know when registering for your tickets.
Where do I go to register?
Signage and staff will be available to direct you to registration from Beverley Minster on the day.
Is formal academic dress essential for graduating students?
Yes, formal academic dress is required. Booking with our approved provider is open now. Search for Bishop Burton College here to hire yours.
Will my gown be delivered to my home address?
Gowns will not be delivered to home addresses. Gowns will be collected from the registration rooms.
Is there a dress code for guests?
There is no dress code for guests, however guests often choose to dress smart or smart casual for the occasion.
How long will the ceremony last?
Ultimately the length of the ceremony will depend on the number of graudands walking across the stage. However, as a rough guide the ceremony may last between 1 to 2 hours.
