The Course

The apprentice is responsible for the daily management, maintenance, conservation and protection of the natural environment and to inspire people about the natural environment and encourage them to engage with their local green spaces.

They organise, supervise and deliver specific land management, conservation and community engagement tasks and manage small scale projects.

Mandatory qualifications include; Level 2 Award in the Safe use of Brushcutters and Trimmers and Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid.

Apprentices without level 2 English and mathematics will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end point assessment.

    • Identify the unique range of Native and Invasive Species and Habitats.

  • Entry Requirements

    Appropriate employment in the environmental and conservation industry.

    It is preferable candidates have a minimum GCSE grade C/4 in English and maths.

    Candidates will be aged 18 years or over.

  • Careers

    On completion of the apprenticeship, suitably able candidates will be able to progress to management level positions within the industry.
