The Course

As an apprentice you will have a job and earn a wage whilst building up knowledge and skills within the construction industry, specifically in brickwork.

Bricklayers lay bricks, blocks and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures e.g. chimney stacks. They might also refurbish brickwork and masonry on restoration projects. The range of sites and projects that bricklayers will work on include large commercial developments, new builds in housing, alterations, extensions and restorations

  • Entry Requirements

    You must have GCSE English and Maths at grade E or 3 or equivalent. You must also pass an initial assessment, secure work as an apprentice and have one satisfactory reference.

    Work as a bricklayer on major new housing and business developments, for established companies or on a self-employed basis.
