The Course

This course is offered over 2 days with a mixture of practical and theory aimed to support those individuals that would like to start their own dog walking business. 

You could also progress to further learning and training in this area.

Please note if the course has to be cancelled due to Government Guidelines, you will be fully refunded. 

  • What You Study

    This qualification covers the skills you will need to progress to work as a dog walker which includes:

    • Roles and responsibilities of a professional dog walker
    • Carrying out behaviour assessments
    • Practical walking and controlling of dogs
    • Understanding problems, injuries and emergencies that may be sustained to the dog or dog walker.
  • Entry Requirements

    There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

  • Duration

    This two-day course will take place on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th August 2021.

  • Progression

    Students may progress to study City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Technical Competence: Pet Sitting.

  • Careers

    This course could lead to careers as a dog walker, pet sitter, animal care worker or pet retail assistant,

  • Cost

    £300 per student.

    (£50 deposit to secure your place with the remaining £250 to be paid by Friday 6th August)
