The Course

Whether you own a pedigree or cross breed, having a well-groomed dog is not only pleasing to look at but benefits the health of your dog. Not to mention the money you’ll save when you don’t have to take your dog to a grooming parlour!

Students are required to bring their own dog along to the course to learn the appropriate grooming techniques.

  • What You Study

    • Health checks
    • Correct bathing and drying techniques
    • Correct clipping / scissoring or stripping techniques appropriate to your breed.
  • Entry Requirements

    Owners are required to bring their own dog, which must be suitable in temperament to be with other dogs within a grooming room situation.

    Please note that dogs must be at least six months old to take part in the course.

  • Duration

    One day. This course runs on a Sunday.

  • Cost

    £139 per person.

  • Progression

    Students may progress to the City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants to pursue a career within commercial grooming.
