The Course

This course is designed to meet the individual needs of employers and operators who use all terrain vehicles, to ensure that the candidate reaches the required standard in the safe riding and handling of an ATV in an off-road situation.

  • What You Study

    • Safe driving techniques and legal requirements
    • Daily maintenance routines
    • Pre-start checks
    • Driving an ATV around a specified course, on slopes and with a trailer
    • Safe parking
    • Cleaning and checking
    • There will also be a practical assessment.
  • Entry Requirements

    There are no entry requirements for this course, but you will need to bring the following with you when you attend:

    • Packed lunch
    • Flask tea / coffee
    • One passport photograph
    • PPE: Correctly fitting crash helmet to BS 6658/1985
    • Goggles, gloves, overalls and strong boots.
  • Duration

    Two days (one day training and one day assessment).

  • Cost

    £220 per person.
