The Course
Bishop Burton College offers provision for learners aged between 14-16 years old.
The provision offers the chance for students to develop knowledge and skills in a safe and secure environment whilst accessing our wide range of resources. It is ideal for those who are unable to manage being in school on a full-time basis. The provision is available one day per week and involved a practical hands-on approach to learning.

What You Study
Transition Certificate Course
This course is designed to support students who are struggling with being in school every day, it will help to prepare them for entry into post 16 study and give them the skills and knowledge to prepare for the future.
Throughout the course students will develop interpersonal skills, they will study Health and Safety, Working together as a team and Communication skills.
Enrichment
Students will be given the opportunity to take part in sports activities as part of our continued approach to keeping healthy. In addition, some off site visits and external guest speakers may form part of this programme.

Entry Requirements
Any students who are in Y10 or Y11 can access this provision and it may be able to run alongside their school timetable.

The provision is available one day per week and involved a practical hands-on approach to learning.
