Eating :: Bishop Burton College

Eating On Campus

The college has four catering outlets on campus, all serving a wide range of freshly cooked meals and snacks, made using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are always available and any specific dietary needs can be discussed with our executive chef.

The best cup of coffee in town! Oster’s is one of our on-site cafes, which sells fresh sandwiches, hot snacks and cakes. Make sure you try the made-to-order bagels, baguettes and our bronkies - you'll thank us later.

The Meadows

The Meadows food hall is a popular choice for those who prefer fast food during the day. Make sure you try a sausage sandwich at breakfast, made with Bishop Burton pork, or a bowl of freshly made porridge using local milk.

Situated within the Equine Centre opposite Bishop Burton Arena, Canters is the ideal place to grab a drink and bite to eat in between lectures. Serving hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes and sweets, Canters is a great place to refuel during a busy day. Don't forget, Canters is the only outlet where you can wear your boots, making it the perfect stop when you're in the midst of practical work on the farm or equine yard.

Bishop's Table

Bishop's Table offers traditional hot and cold meals as well as sandwiches and beverages from 9am - 2.30pm daily. Situated at the heart of the main college building, it is a great place to meet up for lunch. Why not try one of our delicious roast dinners, with Bishop Burton pork or beef?

Eating Out

Beverley is packed with restaurants such as Pizza Express and Carluccio's, takeaways, bars and pubs, as are the surrounding villages and towns. Hull is also just a short journey away. Don't forget to try the Altisidora, which is adjacent to our visitors' entrance in Bishop Burton village.
