Both on campus and off it, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to keeping a busy social life.
The college may be nestled in beautiful countryside but the vibrant cities of Leeds, Hull and York are just a short journey away. The nearest of these, Hull, is just ten miles from the college and was the 2017 UK City of Culture.
The cities of York and Hull are bursting with galleries, museums, concerts, theatres and cinemas. If shopping is your thing there are also lots of shops to choose from including high-street chains, outlets and designer boutiques.
Staying on campus is a great way of meeting new people and getting involved in what's going on.
Every year students can get involved in over 350 events, including the normal weekly social events such as quizzes, film nights, discos, trips out to the cinema, beach, laser quest and ice skating rink. You’ll also be welcome to some of the bigger events of the year – such as the Christmas, Valentine's and Halloween Balls.
As a college with a strong sporting tradition, we arrange supporters' buses to away fixtures to cheer on our teams. The huge success of our sports teams means frequent aftermatch celebrations too!
