Sports Centre

Matrix Machines

The Centre for Sports and Fitness offers a state-of-the art fitness suite, sports shop, a dance studio and a sports hall with provision for four badminton courts.

The fitness suite houses more than 40 high-specification stations, all supplied by Matrix Fitness, one of the market leaders in the field.

All of our cardiovascular equipment has integrated 15” LCD screens with Freeview and iPhone docking so you can burn calories to your own entertainment choices.

Qualified fitness instructors can help you devise your personal fitness programme and support you every step of the way. Whether you are a high class athlete, or an occasional user, we have the equipment to help you achieve your goals.

Additional facilities

In addition to the Centre for Sports and Fitness, the College also has a 4G artificial turf pitch, recently redeveloped floodlit football and rugby pitches, and a smaller sports hall and a pentathlon shooting range facility.

Sports Clubs

The College has a number of non-academy sports teams in various college and university sports leagues, which compete in matches across the region. We have teams in women’s rugby, women’s football, men’s football, basketball, hockey, netball, shooting and equine. Games are played on a Wednesday afternoon in the AoC (Association of Colleges) Sports and BUCS leagues, with training sessions taking place during the week.
