Degree students at Bishop Burton kicked off their academic year in style with the busiest Freshers' Week in the college's history.
Helena Barnett, from the college's marketing department, helped by her trusty Freshers Crew, was behind the whistlestop programme of events which included activities such as cocktail making, shopping trips, touch rugby, paintballing and a day at the races. Helena had managed to twist the arms of various businesses and was able to offer the most fantastic freebies at the Freshers' Fair.
New students were also treated to nightly themed parties including a UV Rave and a trip to one of Europe's biggest nightclubs. The week culminated with the traditional Freshers' Ball, where guests were treated to a Hawaiian-style feast before the well-known live band The Bogus Brothers took to the stage. The night was rounded off by Capital FM DJ’s Hursty, Danny and JoJo who were, in student speak, "epic".
