Brexit Debate at Bishop Burton College

The impact of Brexit on the future of farming in Britain will be debated by sector leaders next month.

Bishop Burton College, near Beverley, is hosting the Yorkshire Agricultural Adventurers’ event, ‘Brexit – The Implications for British Agriculture’, on Friday, 2nd November.

The event will feature high-profile guest speakers from across the farming industry, including;

  • Julian Sturdy MP, Chair of the All Party Farming Committee and EFRA Committee member.
  • Caroline Drummond MBE, Chief Executive of LEAF.
  • Guy Poskitt, Chair of the NFU Horticulture and Potatoes Board.
  • Nick von Westenholz, NFU Director of EU Exit and International Trade.

College Chief Executive and Principal, Bill Meredith, will open the event, which will run from 11.30am to 3.30pm and is being sponsored by Clydesdale Yorkshire Bank.

Tickets, including a two-course lunch, cost £35 but students of Bishop Burton College and Askham Bryan College can purchase them for the discounted price of £10.
