Ellie secured her dream job working in events management following a successful work experience placement as part of her course.
She says her time at Bishop Burton has helped provide her with a range of skills and the knowledge to work in many different areas of
the travel and tourism sector.
Ellie said: “We covered all different subjects really, from events management to the cruise industry. It has been very diverse and has
given me a really good insight.
“Large conferences and exhibitions, along with smaller weddings, is something I would like to go into eventually. The course has really prepared me for this, with lots of external trips.
“The references I got from my work experience placements helped me get a full-time job as an events co-ordinator at York Racecourse, so I’m really happy.”
