Math skills are essential for gaining employment or going onto higher education. More and more employers are asking for these qualifications at a Grade C or above. Therefore we have designed our courses to ensure you can further develop these skills in a practical and useful way.
GCSE Maths helps students develop a knowledge and understanding of problem-solving, reasoning, applying maths in context and the functional elements of maths.
This course is available either at Bishop Burton College or at Hull FC Community Hub, KCOM Stadium, West Park, HU3 6JB.
One academic year, one evening per week.
This course runs on Tuesday evenings from September 2018 - May 2019.
This course is offered free of charge.
A good understanding of Maths is vital for any degree course or career choice. Maths will equip you for a career in almost any sector but STEM industries particularly value Maths graduates.

In order to be accepted onto this course you will be invited for an informal interview with a member of the Maths team and be asked to take away and complete a pre-course numeracy task.
You must also already have a GCSE Maths grade D and / or a Level 2 Maths or numeracy qualification (such as Functional Skills).
