The Course

This course combines NPTC CS38 Climbing Trees and Performing Aerial Rescuewith NPTC CS39 Using a Chainsaw From Rope and Harness.

The course includes tree climbing theory, tree safety, tree cutting, rescues, first aid procedures and using a chainsaw safely. The course also includes practical aspects such as climbing techniques, moving around a canopy, branchwalking, rescues, and receiving, starting and using the chainsaw safely.

How To Apply

This course is only available to companies with equipment and woodland sites to use for the course and at least four candidates are required.

Entry Requirements

The minimum age for a candidate taking this course is 18 years old.

Candidates will be required to hold the CS30 and CS31 certificates and must supply their own equipment:

  • Chainsaw
  • Safety wear
