This pioneering course is being introduced for teh first time for September 2020 and will be the equivalent of three A levels. It will combine classroom theory with practical learning and a three month industry placement. The qualification has been developed in partnership with employers and businesses to ensure it meets the needs of the idustry and provides student with a route into work.
All students on this course are guaranteed a job interview with the Child Dynamix community nursery in Hull.
Two years full-time. Normally in college three days per week and one - two days in work placement.

Four GCSEs at grade 4 or C or equivalent, preferably including English and Maths or a relevant BTEC Level 2/First Diploma, plus one satisfactory reference. However, there may be exceptions and all individual cases will be treated on merit.

Lucy manages to hold down two jobs, working as an early years educator at a local nursery and also as a waitress, as well as her studies as she pursues her dream career working with children.
Q: What do you like about Bishop Burton College?
A: Bishop Burton College is a great place to learn. All the people at the College are really friendly. I enjoy my time here because the course is great and and the teachers are lovely.
Q: What is the best thing about your course?
A: One of the best things about my course is the work placement because you get to learn what it is really like to work in a nursery or school. The modules we do are also really interesting.
Q: What are your hopes for the future?
A: I hope to one day become a juvenile probation officer or a juvenile counsellor in America.
