BTEC Level 3 in Business
George secured an exciting role with internationally renowned high-end department store Harrods thanks to the skills and knowledge he developed studying Business at Bishop Burton College.
He is now looking forward to moving down to London to fulfil his dream.
George said: “We’ve covered all aspects of the business spectrum really, from management to finance, resources, teamwork – you name it, we have covered it!
“The trips that have enabled us to see first-hand how different businesses operate have probably been the most enjoyable part. You get a real insight into how businesses work on a daily basis, which is really interesting.
“I’ve managed to secure a job with Harrods so I will be moving down to London to work for them when I finish. I’ll be training for 18 months – six months in each department – and have a full-time job at the end of it.
“They had hundreds of applicants and only gave a job to around four or five people. It is a really good opportunity and I’m really looking forward to it.”
