The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn all areas of high class, professional butchery.

Duties include:

  • Primary processing
  • Knife Skills
  • Boning out Techniques
  • Machine operations
  • Butchery from process to final consumer
  • Preparation of retail cuts
  • Manufacture of value added butchery retail items
  • Burger, marinade, specialist cuts, joints and rolls.
  • Butchery cuts for the catering trade
  • Retail shop duties including display and customer interaction and service

Day release to college to study level 2 butchery and onsite training.

Desired qualifications

You will need level 1 (or equivalent) in maths and English, if not this will form part of the apprenticeship and must be achieved before the completion of the apprenticeship.
