Archery GB's Northern Performance Academy at Bishop Burton College offers an inspirational multi-sport environment, where young archers and performance coaches develop. The ultimate goal is progression to Archery GB's World Class Performance Programme.
Archery GB is the governing body for the sport. Their aim is to promote archery, provide support for athletes and beginners alike, and provide a world-class coaching programme.
The athletes who join the academy attend monthly three-day camps and meet with performance coaches twice monthly. They are required to engage in 25 hours of training a week.
"Bishop Burton is committed to providing talented young athletes with the opportunity to develop to a high level in their chosen sport. Working with Archery GB and their best talent is an exciting proposition for Bishop Burton as we continue to expand our academy portfolio. We look forward to assisting the development of potential world class archers and the wider benefits this will bring to archery in East Yorkshire."
