Hilda's Cheeses, based at Becks Farm (Malton, North Yorkshire, YO17 9RH) is a new start-up looking for a responsible cheesemaker to process both cow's and goat's milk into cheese.

Becks Farm makes cheese from unpasteurized Jersey cows' milk all year round, and uses goat's milk to produce cheese and yoghurt during the summer months. A position has now become available for a responsible cheesemaker to work as part of a team both cheesemaking and record keeping. Candidates must have Level 2 Food Safety in Manufacturing and access to their own transport. Experience in making yoghurt is also an advantage. Further training will be provided.

The hours required will initially be one 6-hour day plus one extra full day or 2 half days. The rate of pay is £12 per hour, to be reassessed after the first 6 months of employment.
