Sport is a big part of College life here at Bishop Burton. The College runs a number of sports clubs, including rugby union, men’s and women’s football, hockey, basketball, cricket, clay pigeon shooting and netball.

The sports teams are made up of a variety of students from different curriculum areas and we employ specialist, qualified coaching staff. There are regular training sessions and matches on a Wednesday afternoon in the Northern Counties League, as well as the British University and College Sports (BUCS) Leagues. The College also competes against other land-based institutions and has a number of friendly fixtures.

Our prestigious sporting facilities are the finest and most complete in the region. The new commercial facilities are designed to meet all the sports and leisure needs of the local community as well as providing training facilities for sporting centres of excellence. We are sure that you will be impressed by our vision for providing state of the art facilities at value for money pricing.

We are also a Regional Training Centre for Modern Pentathlon and have a number of high-profile professional clients, including:
